Building Cities of Gold is a metaphor for transforming our current communities into vibrant, shining, beacons of light that nurture and provide for all the needs of the individual throughout their lifetimes.

Even if we live in suburban sprawl or in large cities we can still RETROFIT these places into vibrant and sustainable local communities. There are many quick and easy tools at our disposal that will help us to transform the most unsustainable housing solutions into our very own Cities of Gold.

If we had individual empowerment and integrity as cornerstones of our society it means we can envisage a future where people feel engaged, worthwhile, needed and assured of their roles in their lifetimes. The local community is the vehicle to achieve this. If we work in groups of 150 people or so, it means most (if not all) of our needs can be met in the immediate environment.
